You are your own worst critic

No matter what you do, the first thing you hear in your own head is 'That's rubbish!' 'Not good enough!' 'I just suck at this!' or, 'I'll never make it!'. Sound familiar? Unfortunately, we are often our own worst critic. And while we sometimes like to believe that it helps us perform better or be more motivated, research shows that the opposite is the case: It makes us feel horrible and confused, robs us of our energy and motivation, and is a key reason we procrastinate.

You have self-doubt and are scared to fail

Just thinking about your current life and the contrast to the potential you know you have in you somewhere makes you feel anxious. You just don't have the confidence it takes to change things. Or, to deal with the opinion of the people around you (family, friends or colleagues) once they find out what you've been up to. You wish you had more like-minded people around you or at least those that can help you realise your potential and cheer you on.

You don't have the time or energy to re-create your life

You might be working fulltime, be a parent or carer, or all of the above! There simply aren't enough hours in the day or energy left at the end of it!   • Something isn't going in the right direction: Our life is currently taking shape in a way that we don’t like.

  • This 'something' is important to us: It really matters to us that we get this right because it’s a key part of who we are and what we want our life to be about.

  • Because it's important to us, we have lots of energy for it: Anger, frustration, constantly thinking about it are all a form of energy. We're just not using it constructively (yet).

  • We're ready for change: Worrying about not realising our full potential is usually a sign that our more pressing needs (like food, shelter and safety) are met and that we’re ready to level up. We just need some clarity, get some support, come up with a realistic plan, and then get this over and done with!).

"The course has a great introduction and every module flows so smoothly. The videos are not long, which makes it easier to watch an entire module in a row and get the best out of it. Not to mention Dr. Maike's captivating way to explain the topic. Also, the guide for each workbook is so helpful.
